Nestled in a nook of the renovated train station, the mahogany and red-leather booths offer the most intimate of romancing. The bar back, mahogany as well, is an impressive several stories tall, and only accessible with a library ladder. The high ceilings are accented with chandeliers.
The cuisine compliments the setting, while the presentation is as flawless as the architecture. A wedge of iceberg lettuce is transformed into an artistic, savory starter with lemon-pepper dressing in the Westport wedge salad. Blue crab and sweet corn bisque is also a creamy and rich way to start the meal. The Kansas City strip steak with pinot noir demi-glace is tender and gives praise to its name. The grilled Atlantic salmon is served with roasted tomato pesto and herbed risotto cake.
