I'm sure if I asked the question, "Who has the best french fries?" we might get a few different answers but the majority of them would be for one place...

The Date:
This simple date idea actually came from a night out with the kids. We have four kids, so we have four personalities, four opinions, four likes and dislikes...you get the picture. One night we asked the kids where they wanted to eat out and we got 4 different answers. So to create a family memory, I decided to appease them all. We went to 4 different places and got each of them their favorite meal. They loved it and were shocked that I would actually do something like that.

...McDonalds. In our town, the local paper puts on a yearly contest where readers can submit their favorite business in various categories. They call it the "best of" contest. Quite a few restaurants get the award for various items on their menu and others get the award for just being a great all around place to dine.
So here is my suggestion for a simple creative date. This is kind of like a progressive dinner. Basically, determine which restaurants have the "best of" certain items on a menu and then go to each of these places and build "The Perfect Meal." In our town we have a place that serves the best homemade rolls that melt in your mouth. Another place has the best steak, and yet another has the best dessert. You get the picture.
You can either eat the meal at each restaurant and move on for the next course, or you can just go and pick up each item and eat them together at one location. We would love to hear what you think the perfect meal is. Please leave your comments below.
